Will both the C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi be capable of towing?

If I had to guess I would say no. If you did it would probably void the warranty. I know my Civic was like that.

My coworker, who just bought a C-Max Hybrid this week, says he is getting a tow hitch installed by Ford. Since Ford is installing it, there must be some type of towing capacity, or they wouldn't even have a hitch available. I'd expect Class I only, which means nothing more than a 2,000lb trailer, but that's more than enough for my needs.

I'm betting that they will also be offering a bike carrying system too. The C-MAX has the potential to appeal to a lot of outdoor type of people too.

Yea, that's why my coworker is getting the hitch: to carry a bike rack. Though I don't know any details on the rack he picked.

Yakima makes some good ones that are really the standard. That's what I have on mine.

Saw this in the Owner's manual:

WARNING: Never tow a trailer with this vehicle. Your vehicle is
not equipped to tow. No towing packages are available through
an authorized dealer.

If anyone knows anything about available hitches, please let me know. I desperately need a hitch for a bike rack.
I think it was a huge miss for Ford to not put roof rails on this car. I know they may decrease the fuel mileage slightly, but hey, I'm getting 39 mpg!

I've found this: http://shop.tlcentra...Hitch-p1080.htm, but I'm not completely sure about it.
