I'm betting we won't see a Ford Focus wagon again. Since this is built on a Focus platform, it's essentially the same thing with a different name. I've actually seen it called the Ford Focus C-Max in earlier press releases though.

Here's a link to a Ford dealer in the U.K. advertising the C-Max.

Yes it is too bad that N.A. will not be seeing the next gen Focus wagon, but at least with your flex assembly plant MAP if the demand is there Ford could make the transition.
Seems to me attitudes in North America are shifting towards hatch and wagon type vehicles, with the latest reports showing very high demand for the hatchback Fiesta sales
being over 60%.
Regarding the C-Max being called the Focus C-Max, when it debut in 2003 it was called Focus C-Max up to MY2006, and with the refresh for MY2007 the name was shortened to C-Max.
I believe the reason for this was Ford EU strategy for their MPV type vehicles to be marketed as the MAX brand re: S-MAX.

Hatch backs do seem to be catching on, however, some makers are still skeptical. For instance, GM will not bring the Chevy Cruze hatch to North America. I think it looks far better than the sedan.

With the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, Ford will have three entries into this category.

Thanks for clearing up the C-Max naming history. I've seen it both ways so wasn't exactly certain how it's properly named.

Check out this statement:
Exterior design elevates segment
The new Ford Focus C-MAX demonstrates that compact, 7-seat vehicles can be stylish and desirable while still delivering outstanding space and functionality.

They seems to flip between calling int C-Max and Focus C-Max. Maybe they are trying to make a connection between the two in order to share brand equity?

The Honda Accord and the Honda Accord Crosstour are two different rides but share the same name. It appears though Honda wants to inject the Accord's reputation into the Crosstour. If it works, good for them I guess.
